Enterprise single sign-on (SSO)

VerifyPDF supports SAML single sign-on for enterprise customers. This explains how SSO login works and how to get it set up for your company.

VerifyPDF supports SAML single sign-on for enterprise and Corporate customers. With SSO, your team signs in through your own identity provider instead of a separate VerifyPDF password. Your IT team keeps control of who has access.

How SSO login works

Once your company domain is set up for SSO, the login flow changes for your team:

  1. Go to secure.verifypdf.com.
  2. Enter your company email.
  3. VerifyPDF sees that your domain uses SSO and redirects you to your identity provider.
  4. Sign in there as you normally do.
  5. You return to VerifyPDF, signed in.

You do not manage a separate VerifyPDF password when SSO is in place.

First-time users

The first time someone signs in through SSO, VerifyPDF creates their account automatically. They do not need a separate invitation email. New SSO users join as regular members. To learn what that means, see Admin and member roles.

For accounts without SSO, people still join by email invitation. See Add a colleague.

How to get SSO enabled

SSO is arranged for enterprise and Corporate customers by the VerifyPDF team. There is no self-serve SSO configuration screen in the dashboard, so you cannot turn it on yourself.

To get started, contact sales. The team works with you to connect your identity provider and set up your domain. Once that is done, your team uses the SSO login flow above.
